Vogue Magazine Subscribers are the last to know

I have a subscription to Vogue Magazine. Not just any subscription; I am paid up two years in advance. I am a magazine editor and I know that people subscribe for the benefit of being the first to know. Vogue apparently does not understand this. The entire length of my subscription so far, I see their next issue on sale at the grocery store a full 2 weeks before I get my copy. Where is the benefit in this? Any other magazine I have ever subscribed to gives makes their loyal subscribers their priority and I have always gotten then before they were available to the general public. Needless to say I will reconsider renewing my subscription and giving my business to a publication that values their subscribers.

Paws For the Cause Upper Keys Humane Society Fundraiser

The Upper Keys Humane Society in Key Largo Florida will be having a fundrasising event on Sat. November 17, 2012 at Gilberts Resort located at 107900 Overseas Highway. The event will take place between 1-5pm. There will be auctions and raffles, Cutest Pet contest, and live music from well known Upper Keys musicians. Come out an enjoy a cocktail at the Tiki bar for a good cause. The Humane Society is is still in need of donated items for their raffles and door prizes. If you have items to donate please call Denise at 305-304-2837. The Humane Society is always in need of volunteers and financial help to rescue and find loving homes for abused and abandoned animals. The Upper Keys Humane Society is always accepting donations of aluminum cans that can be sold to pay for the animal's medical expenses. Fresh coconuts are also available at the front of the shelter in exchange for your donation. Please consider making a donation of coconuts, newspaper for the

Today I felt like I was on Candid Camera. I was in the grocery store and among other items bought two large pumpkins. I plan to make pumpkin bread and pies with them. So I get in the check out line and this women in front of me turns around and smacks the pumpkins. She hits them with such gusto that they bounce like a basketball. She says let me ask you a question, how do you cut these? She caught me totally off guard by such odd behavior. I said " with a chainsaw like everybody else does." she gave me the strangest look and turned around. Honestly. How the hell does she think you cut them?

This is an article in GQ regarding the 40 worst dressed cities in the country. They put Miami as #9 on this list. Whoever wrote this has never been to Miami I can tell you this with 100% certainty.

Georgia May Jagger New Face of Material Girl

Daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger has been named as the new muse of the Material Girl clothing line by Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon. Jagger, age 20 is no stranger to the modeling business, having already worked for top designers like Versace, Chanel and Amani. We have noticed discussion that her famous parents must surely be the reason for Jagger's modeling opportunities. However, I personally think Georgia May bears a striking resemblance to Dutch fashion model, Lara Stone.

The spokesperson position of the Material Girl line seems to be a revolving door, as Jagger is now the third, following Taylor Momsen and Kelly Osbourne. Osbourne has been quite vocal about being replaced as the spokesmodel, saying that she felt "betrayed." Let's just hope that the third time is a charm.
